I bought a designer coat from ebay last week, it was described as being in 'fabulous condition'. It arrived 10 DAYS later, both cuffs of the cuffs were broken & it was dirty, pretty gross infact. Granted it only cost £25 but I feel this is completely irrelevant. I have asked ebay for a refund of £10 to get it fixed and dry cleaned and teh seller is really digging her heels in saying she never said it was clean Hmm and she didn't realise it was brokenHmmHmm Does ebay offer partial refunds as a solution aibu asking for one?

If the seller refuses a partial refund, Im afraid you can only go for a full refund & return the coat.

YANBU! Item has to be as described, and you can quite successfully argue it's not. Ebay will sort of mediate, but it's Paypal that can help you really. I'd be inclined to open a dispute and say that if the seller does not agree to a partial refund, you'll be sending the coat back via recorded delivery, and opening a dispute with Paypal (you did use Paypal, right?).

Yeah I did use paypal, I do like the coat though and will be so pissed of to have to pay return postage plus recorded surcharge! Maybe I'll try an 'out of court' settlement

You can put in a dispute through paypal and check the 'accept partial refund for X amount' box.

Tell her she can either have the bad feedback and rating or she can pay for you to have it mended.
