Mitchum, smart solid deodorant for men (what's the difference for women?)

I bought two of these stick deodorants, the deodorant part fell off both of them, making them unusable, when I rolled it up, and no I didn't roll it up too much.

Anyone else?

Lindam bedguards the one that you can fold down with just one hand.

yeah right, I've had two both have snapped at the hinges and left sharp edges and that was literally after a few weeks.

Same as thier babygates lindam are utter utter shite

soopermum1 · 12/10/2010 15:01

i have just bought a Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine Sad

gaelicsheep · 12/10/2010 15:04

Nooo, baby massage is fantastic! And you should be able to get it for a nominal fee (at least we can here).

frangipan · 12/10/2010 15:09

MOONDOUGH- I shall say no more Confused

electra · 12/10/2010 15:17

poly-cotton sheets - I hate them

nappy bins - smelly revolting wastes of space

Ted Baker handbags - the straps tend to break (and though they are not designer they are also not cheap!!)

nannynobnobs · 12/10/2010 15:32

I love the nitty gritty comb! After DD1 was plagued with headlice, the nits all remained after treatment and looked vile so could never put her hair up. The nitty gritty got them all out and is so much easier to use than the rubbish short ones you normally get.

BlathAaarghskite · 12/10/2010 15:32

Which? recommend Bosch washing machines because they're so reliable Alouiseg!!

I love mine

Stillcounting · 12/10/2010 15:41
  • couldn't agree more about nappy bins (the plastic absorbs the pong - yuck)
  • Ikea bed linen - sizes (especially pillow cases) don't quite fit standard pillows and duvets you already have - deeply frustrating
  • oh yes, agree, Ikea glasses are a complete waste of money
  • any make of portable hand-held hoover - they all break after 10 mins

(Love Clarins Beauty Flash Balm though and couldn't live without bog standard Vanish stain sticks)

onemoreriver · 12/10/2010 15:55

I have (sadly) just been quite excited about going to the supermarket to buy soda crystals and all the things I can do with them.

Ped eggs are brilliant! Just rub your feet together afterwards and revel in the softness!!

PictureThis · 12/10/2010 16:50

I too have put on my anorak to join the soda crystal club. Bought some today when doing the weekly shop and my heart skipped a beat with the excitement in anticipation of using them.

Will somebody come and save me from myself for heaven's sake before I start getting excited about cleaning out cupboards!

WitchyFlisspaps · 12/10/2010 16:56

I love my soda crystals.

However, agree with the Mitchum breaky stick deodorant, and the Pearl Drops paint-on tooth whitener. Utter rubbish

Elsie - take the trousers back to M&S. I returned a pair yesterday which cost £11-£12 I think. We had them 4 weeks and they looked like they were about 4 years old.
The manager said he had several complaints and gave me a new pair. But said they might be from same batch and just to bring them back too if anything happened.

alemci · 12/10/2010 17:06

love beauty flash and also Une Minerals make up seems very good.

i am very good at buying cleaning stuff and then never bothering to use it.

the awful sweater drying rack which was such a faf to put together.

GetOrfMoiLand · 12/10/2010 17:16

Bloody sodding Dysons. Thjey are awful. I want mine to break so I can buy a new one (with a BAG).

tassisssss · 12/10/2010 17:24

i love eliz arden 8 hour cream and Mitchum (admitedly roll on or spray)

Hate toastybags (and I bought the expensive lakeland version before finding them in poundland) and dyson hoovers.

Also hate the stupid pineapple chopper thingy I bought at pampered chef party, total waste of money as by the time you chop top and bottom off the pineapple it only takes a min to chop the rest of it.

Vanish!

DiscoSquish · 12/10/2010 19:17

Shock I love my Dyson, it's my 3rd and I would never swap.

And my Clarins BFB.

And soda crystals, they even clean the washing machine (which is, incidentally, a Whirlpool and the dog's bollocks lol).

DFS anything on the other hand is absolute shite. As is the onion chopper thing my exMIL once bought me for Christmas (wtf?) and anything made by Vanish or Cilit Bang.

aStarInStrangeways · 12/10/2010 19:51

I was so excited to find a bag of soda crystals in Wilkos that I actually let out an 'ooooh!' of delight Blush And I must defend Ecover washing up liquid: does its job very well and doesn't strip the top ten layers off my hands like less enlightened manufacturers' efforts.

LtEveDallas you need the Wink

Tokyotwist · 12/10/2010 21:06

Shhh about the soda crystals Grin, next thing you know they'll cost as much as vanish.

Haven't had the time to go to the supermarket yet for my soda crystals. Can't wait, but what do I do with the one and a half tubs of vanish that mock me everytime I open the cupboard.

BikeRunSki · 12/10/2010 21:12

I love my toaster bags, I cook fishfingers in them. They are about 10 years old and I must have used them 100s of times.

StealthPolarBear · 12/10/2010 21:15

OVEN PRIDE

StealthPolarBear · 12/10/2010 21:15

oh no my mistake
OVEN PRIDE IS FANTASTIC

Tokyotwist · 12/10/2010 21:16

Regarding the hand held vacuums, I think it all depends on the voltage. I've got an 18 volt Black and Decker and it's been really good. Although eventually even this has lost it's umph.
