but don't know where to start. there is so much wrong thinking here not only about the economics (the costs and benefits and how they are shared) but also about the facts.

okay

explain away

faverolles · 11/10/2010 13:21

I'm all ears, I haven't got a clue.
(but tbh, I lost you after you mentioned economics)

JaneS · 11/10/2010 13:24

Well, go on then ...

muckeditup · 11/10/2010 13:26

The test of whether you truly understand something is whether you can explain to somebody else. So shoot. Or we'll assume the worst.

edam · 11/10/2010 13:26

So what, you are just posting to tell us all we are wrong and you know best but not bothering to actually give us the benefit of your wisdom so we can check whether we agree with your analysis?

Igglybuff · 11/10/2010 13:26

Ooo get you.

Go on then. I can use it to explain to my students. Grin

SixtyFootDoll · 11/10/2010 13:33

Come on then clever clogs, fire away...

we don't want links and whatnot, we want YOU to tell us in your own words

eye thank ewe

SixtyFootDoll · 11/10/2010 13:39

Ah dont want a link, thanks.
Am curious to know why you think you are right and everyone else is wrong. Confused
You started the thread...

witchwithallthetrimmings · 11/10/2010 13:39

okay okay, will do something and link it to my page. Cannot be now though.
you also know that you are not all wrong it is just really frustrating when you hear the same thing repeated enough so that everyone thinks it is right when it isn't

so now we are not only thick, we are unpunctual as well?

Think you might need to order a copy of this book.

JaneS · 11/10/2010 13:45

Um ... think you might have linked to the wrong thing?

The link only goes to a discussion of graduate tax vs. the current system of repayment of student loans. It doesn't really touch on how higher education is funded.

I'd like to hear you explain it when you come back.

SixtyFootDoll · 11/10/2010 13:45

LOL at Edam
OP Yabu

edam · 11/10/2010 13:45

Not sure why you think MNers are unaware of the issues discussed in the IFS report. I haven't noticed threads on student funding that have completely ignored those points.

What is YOUR point, exactly?
