to already think that the new series of House is not as good or should I give it a chance?

OK - maybe I'm impatient but I'm already fed up with Cuddy and House.

It was much better when we had the "will they won't they" scenario.

Or maybe the whole premise is a bit tired - angst ridden Doctor, sexual chemistry, flawed characters with their own agendas.

Should I keep watching??

Tonight was better than last week I think. Once the relationship 'shock' has been established, I think it will be a return to 'business as usual'. At least I hope so!

Mowiol · 11/10/2010 00:05

I hope so too!! Will give it a chance (maybe 2 more episodes!!)

Oooh, I recorded it, will enjoy that later!

melikalikimaka · 11/10/2010 08:47

Their sexy scenes were cringeworthy, you just know it's all going to go wrong, again.

Mowiol · 11/10/2010 08:52

Melika, I agree and I much preferred their sniping at each other.

On an aside - why does Cuddy wear such "sexy" gear to work??? Not exactly professional wear for a hospital director(?) is it Grin

I love his cratchety character, but when I saw him nude, I just wanted to throw up. In real life, a woman like Cuddy, would never entertain him, let alone, fall for him. And when she kissed his scar....yuk! I shut my eyes. AAArrggh!!!

BongoWinslow · 11/10/2010 09:06

I'm hoping they don't make it the focus of the whole season. A few episodes while they settle in, then hopefully it will kind of fade into the background. Fingers crossed it doesn't go like Grey's Anatomy where they keep manufacturing ways to keep the relationships dramatic, but I think so far they're handling it well.

I wish Hugh Laurie would learn to kiss, though - always looks kind of gross when he kisses her, like he feels a bit sick doing it. Much better when he just does looks for deep longing with those giant puppy dog eyes.

fedupofnamechanging · 11/10/2010 09:14

I always thought Cameron was far more interesting than Cuddy and was sorry when that didn't work out.

Mowiol · 11/10/2010 09:19

But Cameron NEVER smiled (whisper - and always looked like a right miserable c*w).

Well, I'll give it a few more episodes - but the sex scenes ARE frankly weird because I just keep seeing flashbacks to Hugh Laurie as Bertie Wooster Grin

House never smiles either - a match made in heaven?

Mowiol · 11/10/2010 11:03

True, true, .......... but then he was/is always in pain so at least he had an excuse!

I agree, they lose something when a couple finally gets together. It should have happened if the programme was ending.

I love him and can easily see why Cuddy fancies him! I could easily turn lesbian for 13, too!

emptyshell · 11/10/2010 12:10

Cameron was just a drip to start with and needed a slap (I quite like her now she's grown a pair and stands up for herself).

I really liked the first episode, second was a bit bleh, but nothing tops the Death Cat episode ever!

I'd soooo do Hugh though... and Wilson. Used to work with a bloke the double of Wilson - sadly he was married :(

ISNT · 11/10/2010 12:36

I think cuddy is gorgeous so that's a bit distracting Grin

I am wondering about when she is getting to see her daughter in all of this. Weekend away at short notice? Yes why not. Never going home any more? Yed why not Hmm

pinkdelight · 11/10/2010 12:44

I hated that series-opener. Really didn't want to see House and Cuddy getting it on. It's just wrong. And suddenly all House's angst seems unjustified - like, if he knows Cuddy loves him, why can't everything be fine from now on? I found myself forgetting why he was so f**ked up and interesting in the first place. Yet to watch the second ep. Will give it a chance and hope they other characters get me through this soggy patch, till hopefully the House and Cuddy thing is just a bad memory.

BongoWinslow · 11/10/2010 15:40

I think his angst makes total sense, given that he does know how difficult and fucked up he is and he is clean now, so he sees it more clearly. Plus he did change quite a lot last season and still didn't get her - so I think now he's kind of in shock, can't believe it's true etc etc. I also think he doesn't think he deserves happiness, or even knows how to be happy so he's kind of emotionally all over the place.
