To think that having a bidet is useful

My dh thinks that our bidet is a waste of space. He wants a second sink.

However I disagree with him. I use it for washing my dd bum when she does a really pooey nappy and for washing feet. DD likes washing her hands in the bidet as she cannot reach the sink.

I want to keep the bidet,

YABU,I think they're great....not that you see them much in this country.

Surely a second sink is more of a waste of space?!

ValentinCrimble · 09/10/2010 21:38

DD will grow though..so it's not a good argument. Do you or DH use it...now that is the question?

pippop1 · 09/10/2010 21:39

I washed my babies in it instead of a baby bath. When we redid the bathroom we got rid of it though. I don't miss it but like the big shower we had instead.

Mouseface · 09/10/2010 21:40

^ Do you not mean 'YANBU'??

YANBU - especially if DD uses it 'cos she can't reach the sink.

Mouseface · 09/10/2010 21:46

That was meant to Mumcah

musicmadness · 09/10/2010 22:05

YANBU if you or your DH use it. I quite like using them but I rarely come across them and couldn't afford to do anything with the bathroom atm let alone install one!

Firawla · 09/10/2010 23:40

why would you need 2 sinks in one bathroom?? keep the bidet!
there was a long thread on here about bidets a while back dunno if you saw?

MistsAndMellow · 09/10/2010 23:53

They do look really dated so I would be tempted to get rid.

The children will be able to reach the sink sooner than you think.

Maybe think about replacing it with a nice Pampas Grass in a pot?

Mumcentreplus · 09/10/2010 23:59

realy get a little stool for DD to stand on to reach the sink...Bidets are dodgy ..baby wipes can do the same job Grin
