I hope you're not telling her these thoughts. Not only might it be deeply embarrassing anyhow, but also it'll make it harder if she'd prefer to bring home a girlfriend.

However it turns out, I hope you both enjoy it!

tallwivglasses · 09/10/2010 21:51

Have you any idea what teenage boys are like?

Grin

sorry x

GypsyMoth · 09/10/2010 22:01

yes, could be girlfriend, either way is fine....but judging by edward cullen/jacob posters,i doubt it! but you never know!!

teenage boys?? i think, looking back,i was worse than the boys.

i don't know. i was very upset when my ED broke up with her lovely boyfriend. She now has another one who is equally nice.

I try to keep a distance but you are right it brings back all the excitement of your first relationships and sometimes the heartache.

It is strange.

Spookyoldclothcatpuss · 09/10/2010 22:08

Me to! Me to! Might have to wait a while though. DD is nearly 12 and shows absolutely no signs of hitting puberty yet! Still looks like a six year old! DS is no help either! He is 14 and a total techno geek! Sad

GypsyMoth · 09/10/2010 22:14

oh she'll grow up overnight spooky!!!

my DD has done! she is so beautiful, but no boy is good enough for her....she could just go out with a nice one, there are many interested!!

one was texting her for a date....his dad owns local skip company.....and i sooooo need a skip for the junk in the garage!!! but no!! she's too picky!!!

Hmm, didn't have a boyfriend until I was 17 and I know exactly what you mean. I want my girls to have teenage flings, plenty of fun (fairly innocent I hope!) so they have lots of memories and no regrets.

Have 2 DDs, eldest is 4 and wants to marry Louis at moment! Think my girls will be beautiful young women (completely bias I know) and will brake hearts. Not sure if I'll be so keen on the whole idea when they are in their teens and come home sobbing because "Josh snogged Jessica" etc.

Onimolap, yes they could be gay couldn't they? Don't think I'd be too bothered if it were girlfriends that they were building their teenage experiences with instead of boys.

I can without doubt say that my DH looks forward in no way to any of the above!! Grin

My hair is coming out in handfuls since dd1 got a boyfriend. It is Not Good.

GypsyMoth · 09/10/2010 22:20

i just loved the way this young lad chatted about his driving test, car he wanted, his plumbing course.....just full of life and hope!!

DD had her heart broken by X ... years later she is now friends with him.

Him " has your mum forgiven me yet?"

DD " wellll.... I wouldn't walk down any dark lanes if she was driving her car if I were you "

Very very true . Angry Grin
