to think that it shouldn't have taken DH GETTING PILES to realise how sore tearing in birth is?

DH has piles. He is hopping around, running soothing baths. He has taken the night off work. ANd I think of me 12 weeks ago scrubbing the bath clean for myself, having to sit sort of on my side etc. and all I got was "other women give birth". One tear was internal aswell. I feel like swapping the prep.H for deep heat Angry:(

Slap him. On the bum. Grin

He clearly has no imagination and no empathy.

Congrats on your baby! How's your tear healing? Tears are horrible, aren't they? But I'd rather have a (mild) tear than a cut. Hope yours wasn't severe and that you're doing alright.

Just re-read your post. Oh. Sounds like you had 3rd or 4th degree.

Poor you. Poor, poor you.

Sad

Tears still twinging - I had episiotomy and a few tears with DS1, 5 tears with DS2 and I think 3-4 with DS3 (prob. because of all the scarring). WHy don't men get it? He said it's hard to judge because he thinks I am melodramatic. Hmm

He had the sniffles the other day too and felt really cold - I said times that by about 10 and that was how it felt when I had mastitis. He was like "oh, I didn't really realise".
