to expect Primark leggings for a 3 yr old to last more than half a day.......

....before coming apart at the crotch seam? Never bought leggings from Primark before - I admit they were cheap, but half a day?! And dd isn't the most active of 3 yr olds Grin so it's not as if she was doing anything wildly athletic in them.

Any experiences of returning things to Primark? Is it worth the time out of my life, for a pair of rubbish cheap leggings?!

Well, cheap as they are, they are still obliged under the Sale of Goods Act 1979.

These are clearly not fit for purpose.

tots2ten · 08/10/2010 21:45

YANBU take them back

narkypuffin · 08/10/2010 21:49

Eight year olds aren't always reliable seamstresses

mammamia25 · 08/10/2010 22:06

I guess not Blush. Will never shop there again Blush Blush

Total false economy shopping at primark. Clothes are UTTER SHITE and never ever last.

pigletmania · 08/10/2010 22:14

Take them back. I have some Primark stuff thats lasted for ages, so mabey the particular 8 year old seamstress that made the leggings was not too reliable. Think that this thread is going to turn into a Primark hating thread.

CerealOffender · 08/10/2010 22:15

can't you just sew them up?

fulltimeworkingmum · 08/10/2010 22:16

Deffo take them back but they are just not worth bothering with at all. DD got some Primark things as a present and they were utter rubbish. Also, the whole sweat shop thing does not sit very well with me.

pigletmania · 08/10/2010 22:17

Just because they cost more does not mean that they are not made in sweatshops. Got some things from H&M, made in Bangladesh, got a DKNY top on, made in Macu Confused
