my new bf has asked how many previous bf's i've had. hes said he had 9. i have so far refused 2 answer. is that fair? i've had over 40. should i tell him or keep quite?

Move the decimal point and make it 4 or go through them and mentally discard all but the decent ones :)

It's probably something from a Sex and the City episode but isn't the gist that men double their numbers while women halve theirs? I've certainly strategically dropped a few over the years... FWIW I don't think it's a conversation that ends harmoniously generally is it?!

Why do you think it means so much to him, if you're serious about him not talking to you.

Whatever happened before you met has nothing to do with him, and as it's not something you can change, I can't see why he'd be stressing about it.

Why wouldn't he believe you?
