Dh is just back from our church prayer dinner where the above was served - and welcomed by many of the attendees. I have never heard of it - has anyone else?

No, and apparently neither has Google.

no idea

Nope. Maybe Mrs Gilson made something she couldn't put a name to? I shall watch with interest.

LittleMissHissyFit · 07/10/2010 22:50

goujon?

nancy75 · 07/10/2010 22:50

Was it nice?

You've now aroused our curiosity. Can he describe the dish?

UniS · 07/10/2010 22:54

maybe its like my MiLs "chicken Miahs"

she expected me to know it was a mildly curried whiteish sauce with chicken in, that she would serve with rice ( except she forgot to cook any)...

I only asked for clarification as boy , then 2 was in a picky phase and I wanted to work out what of the meal he would eat to know if I needed to have bread and butter on standby.

could it be a corruption of Goulash?

Northernlurker · 07/10/2010 23:06

Apparently it was chicken in a cream sauce with mushrooms and a little apple. Like pork in cider - but not Hmm

Dh had the chilli but he said it was very popular with those over 60........

Google chicken gulshan. It's aild creamy Indian dish. Basically, chicken cooked in tandoor with cream and herbs.

That's the closest I could find. Other than that I'm stumped. :)
