Ive got the beginnings of a cold and a migraine, i feel sick and am in a vile mood. dh asked me to make some chocolate buns, so i did. i checked on them then dh started dinner so i left him to it. next thing I can smell burning cakes. he was in the fecking kitchen! the cakes are all ruined so im in a an even worse mood.

yes, its a stoopid thing to be in a mood about but i need to spill this rage.

LilRedWG · 07/10/2010 17:27

You do realise that you will get some strange replies don't you - ranging from, "divorce him" to, "you should be grateful he was cooking dinner".

nickelbabe · 07/10/2010 17:38

i can't believe he left the buns!

he should be running round you with blankets and hot honey and lemon and rubbing your feet and patting your brow!

waht's wrong with him!!! Shock

Madascheese · 07/10/2010 17:38

To be fair, it's actually top of this list of classic reasons why you should leave him.

Burning your buns is just the start of a slippery slope.

He needs to get help and quickly....I really urge you to ask him to look at this website, before things go too far [http://www.nigella.com/ help is at hand]]

Good luck,if you act fast you might be bale to nip this in the bud!

Madascheese · 07/10/2010 17:39

{blush} bloody help a good joke ruined by incompetence!

help is at hand

Psammead · 07/10/2010 17:40

Leave him before he takes it out on you macaroons. Bastard.

Hedgeblunder · 07/10/2010 17:42

LEAVE HIM IMMEDIATLY!!!

Do you need the number for the local buns burners anon?

DetectivePotato · 07/10/2010 17:49

Oh no. What a selfish inconsiderate bastard he has shown himself to be.

Divorce is the only option. It will only get worse now.

Wink

I would actually be pretty pissed off too with lovely chocolate buns going to waste. i could really eat some now, damn it!

OracleInaCoracle · 07/10/2010 18:10

how dare you all judge him, you dont know the pressure he is under!

OP posts:
OracleInaCoracle · 07/10/2010 18:43

OP posts:
OldLadyKnowsNothing · 07/10/2010 18:49

OMG, you need to get out of there NOW! Shock

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 07/10/2010 18:51

Pressure, schmessure, he knows nothing of pressure. Does he have a cold coming on, and an incipient migraine, huh?

DetectivePotato · 07/10/2010 19:16

Bathing his son!? Shock

How dare he take over your job, how inconsiderate can you get thinking that he can do better than you. Wink

Northernlurker · 07/10/2010 19:37

You've got to stop this. Today he's burning your cakes - tomorrow he'll be carrying on like he's got to defend the coountry from Danish invasion......

This is your dh isn't it?

AllGoodNamesGone · 07/10/2010 19:46

YANBU. I once asked my DH to take over the cooking of some fish fingers while I fed the baby. He burnt them and couldn't understand why I burst into tears. I was postnatal for goodness sake! I was allowed!

Did you actually tell him the approx time the buns would be ready?

Either way, leave him Hmm

OracleInaCoracle · 07/10/2010 22:08

oldlady, exactly my point. selfish prig!

detective, i know! i bet he thinks Im useless and is just trying to undermine me.

NL, thats him Shock wow, he must be reknowed for his twattishness and misogeny!

allgoodnames, we're in it together (as some bloke with blowdried hair and a shiney face said)

he also made me a cup of tea and poured the milk in without removing the teabag... it just gets worse and worse!
