to go absolutely mental at our council and phone the dept of health

Our flat is above a council office. We've had a blockage in our sink for about a month which we called a plumber for after DP had no luck.

Plumber cant get to the blockage because its too far down ie in the council building.

Ive phoned twice to complain, as has next door and a few others. It got a bit better but has come back again - although the council havent actually fed anything back to us.

Today, my whole kitchen surface is covered with what smells like ammonia. The whole place reeks, its over my feet, all our electrical goods etc. I phoned the council and went absoluetely nuts, then I phoned the dept of health to complain because Im 7 months pregnant, and there are 3 other babies in our block.

And even if this wasnt the councils problem per say, our maintenance company for the lease holders is the council! So really, they've failed us twice.

They are now coming in 30 mins but was I unreasonable to report them to the dept of health for creating a public health issue?

Perhaps in my anger i went a bit far Blush

If they do not respond within a reasonable time frame, you must do what you have to do to get service.

You did good
