to not stop eating? Permanently hungry today

Honestly, it's not even eating out of boredom (I am bored, tbf) but my tummy is full-on rumbling and hunger panging, the works. Today I have wolfed down eaten daintily;

Boiled egg and soldiers
Bag of Frazzles
Leftover beef hotpot
One fish finger
Bowl of Shreddies

not even had dinner yet. I think I need a massive carb hit to sort me out. AIBU to not eat when body says it is hungry or should I exert some self-control?

Erm, exert some self control? That's a vile combination- I'd personally be avoiding carbs for dinner after all that!

cupcakesandbunting · 06/10/2010 18:44

I know :( It's food shopping day tomorrow so I am literally eating what there is (not a lot) :( :( :(

Lol- I just read that and thought oooh that's alright!
The shame!
I get a day like that a week before AF, is that it?

oneofthosedays · 06/10/2010 18:52

Erm, that's not that much for a whole days consumption?! opiussun - vile combination?! SHe's listing what she has eaten over the course of the day I presume, not all mixed together!!

cupcakesandbunting · 06/10/2010 18:52

AF? Confused

Leftover hotpot was beautiful, FWIW. Grin

that doesn't sound that bad to me.

boiled egg and toast -breakfast
frazzles- mid morning snack (not great but it's a snack)
hotpot-lunch
fishfinger and shreddies- snack

you just need dinner now.

AF= period

Auntie Flo

booyhoo · 06/10/2010 19:04

also, have you been drinking enough fluids?

sometimes your body confuses thirst with hunger

cupcakesandbunting · 06/10/2010 19:06

Oh yes Auntie Flo is due a visit. I'm on WeightWatchers or else I'd be phoning Papa's Pizza for a large Mexican Heatwave Grin

Haha maybe it's because it's getting colder?
My mumstarts stuffing her face now because ' the cold burns up all your calories' Grin

earlyriser · 06/10/2010 19:16

It's the time of year, your body has to lay down fat stores in time for hibernation winter. i get ravenously hungry for carbs at this time of year. I remember eating noodle sandwiches with chips for dinner one oct when i was a student Grin

KurriKurri · 06/10/2010 19:21

Doesn't sound too bad to me, - at least you didn't eat complete crap. I mean you could have had three boxes of chocolates and a kebab.

cupcakesandbunting · 06/10/2010 19:23

droooooooooooooool

fedupofnamechanging · 06/10/2010 19:25

Well I've eaten 2 slices toast and jam, 2 bags crisps, a biscuit and some fudge. Blush. At least some of your food had some nutritional value

gastrognome · 06/10/2010 19:41

It doesn't sound like much to me, at all :) Two meals (and no pudding!) and two snacks - pretty normal really.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 06/10/2010 19:44

It doesn't sound too bad at all - stop worrying and have a nice bowl of pasta for dinner. Grin

PlanetEarth · 06/10/2010 20:06

It's Autumn - I sometimes get the munchies like this when the days are shortening and getting colder.

cupcakesandbunting · 06/10/2010 20:22

Well, it's autumn/the march of the red army I have a double-whammy of an excuse.

I've just had a bowl of heinz chicken soup for dinner. Was hoping that the umami-ness of chicken soup might be enough to cancel out need for stodge.

FAIL.
