Would you really rather he came right out and said he hated it/didn't suit you/looks awful?!

tinky19 · 05/10/2010 19:30

yes because i'm going back tomorrow to have the colour done (appointment time cock up) and am thinking of asking her to shorten it a tad but would like his opinion.

If it was me I'd rather be told the truth. What's the point in lying - if your partner can't be honest about how you look, who can? He doesn't have to be unpleasant about it. You don't have to agree with him or change it to please him. But honesty is almost always best I think.

My dh hated my hair 3 yrs ago - could have killed him at the time as had to wait for 3 months for it to grow out! If you really think he hates it, just suggest doing the same again and watch his face....you'lll soon find out!

FerminaUrbinoDaza · 05/10/2010 19:37

you should be pleased he's crap at lying Grin

Remind him your going back tomorrow anyway and say you want an honest opinion because your not quite sure and maybe want it tweaked.

tinky19 · 05/10/2010 19:40

oh yes FerminaUrbinoDaza he'd never be able to pull off an affair

I was thinking more along the lines of the horror of a surprise party Wink

tinky19 · 05/10/2010 19:43

i've already told him if he does that i'll divorce him.

husbands should not have opinions on women's haircuts besides 'it's nice'.

They of course may opine (?) on their own hair.
