Two of my partners best friends had a child, were together for a long time and then split up! (Background not the funny bit!..)

So anyway, the Male friend, Ashley, brought his son round to ours for them both to stay for a few days while Ashleys partner moved out of their house.

Everything is fine untill the first evening he asks his little 3 yr old what he wants for dinner.

Ashley "Reuben, what do you want for dinner buddy?"
Reuben "Fuck you dada!"
Ashley ".....Want chips with that?"

I literally had to sprint out of the house to collapse in the garden laughing!

Turns out, Reuben was learning to swear from Ashleys partner! That is another story all together mind you!

I think it's not funny because of the really sad situation it happened in, hardly the set up for a really good joke.

NerdyFace · 05/10/2010 14:37

It was more the innocent look on the little boys face AS he said it.
The reaction aswell was probably what made me laugh more

Don't get me wrong OP I've had a good giggle at my DD when she (accidently) swore. Following the dog round the house and telling her what to do. "Shit! Shtay! Roll over! Now shit again!" She was about 19 months old and having trouble with the letter S. Think you had to be there. I'm just gateful the poor dog didn't take DD literally....
