I have ds (3.5) Fri thru Mon all day, he goes to nursery the other 3 days. Am on my own with him so I try hard to ensure we have stuff planned however this w/end two things were cancelled so it's just us for 4 days solid. He's been a bit whiney and I've found it hard work!

Today we spent the whole morning at soft play, came home, had lunch, he spent 1 hr on sofa watching Charlie & Lola (thought he might doze off but no). We've played hide & seek, gone out for a short walk and to get his hair cut. Played a game. He won't let me out of his sight so I can't get on with chores because he starts whining and nagging for me to do something with him.

He is now doing jigsaws by himself to be fair but he's happy to do that because I'm sitting in the same room while I use the computer. He simply won't go and play by himself.

He usually watches 2 hours TV a day total - add in his 1 hour of DVD today ... AIBU to stick Cbeebies on for the rest of the afternoon and leave him to veg? He had loads of TV over the weekend when it was so wet too Blush.

If I AM BU, all suggestions for activities or solutions would be gratefully received!

YNBU

Cbeebies is an enormous gift horse - lets not look it too hard in the mouth.
