To scream like a little girl when a lobster flipped out of the tank?

I just went to our local supermarket (Belgium) where they have live lobsters for sale. DD likes to look at them when she is with me and I don't think any get sold. Anyway, I was standing next to their tank weighing up plain hummus versus spicy and one jumped out and ran over the floor. I screamed very loudly and came close to voiding my bladder. The man on the veg section told me to stop it Shock then got really arsey when I didn't. so, was IBU to screech? and secondly to not stop the lobbo.

I would've screamed too I expect.

Poor lobsters :(
I would be startled too. Did you carry on screaming though?

BuntyPenfold · 04/10/2010 11:36

Sorry, did the man tell you to stop screaming, or to stop the lobster?

It wasn't a long scream, more a yelp. Veg man wanted me to stop the lobster escaping. Lobbo went under the veg stands which is impressive considering he had his big claws tied up.
I may start the lobster liberation front.

I have been reflecting on this and wonder why the lobsters are there if they aren't sold. We do live in a fairly affluent area, but, there is a sort of mossy growth on the crustaceans which indicates to me that they aren't sold.
When we lived in Thailand I used to take DD to look at the prawns for sale. Happy days.

I would have screamed and run. I hate most creatures with more then 4 legs.
