To wonder when this 'family friendly' coalition is going to offer any incentive or benefit to families

Over the past five years we have paid through the nose so I can raise my two children at home until the age of 2 (five years out of the workplace).

During the election campaign it was nice to hear the Conservatives talking about family values and offering incentives to 'families'.

Now the only benefit I got - the Child's Benefit, is being taken away from so-called wealthier families (one person earning over £43,000 does not seem wealthy going by current prices).

What exactly are they offering to encourage people to stay as families and raise them accordingly?

Good point.

Which is why I didn't believe anything about their so called family values and didn't vote for the idiots.

They talk shit, like all politicians.

This kind of thing happens when a party NO ONE elects comes into power.

"The Coalition"(sp?) I mean.

I would GLADLY take back Tony Blair over Cameron EVERY DAY!

Labour may have done some silly things, but they have also done some very successful things and it disturbs me that the Conservatives are throwing out the baby with the bath water.

I do think Tony Blair had a knack of recognising what works and was a fine statesmen (in matters other than Iraq), however their financial recklessness angers me still.

YANBU. It's ridiculous to take away CB from those with a single earner bringing in over £43k and still pay it to households who jointly earn nearly twice that.

bubbleOseven · 04/10/2010 13:04

YANBU -

Hey, I've got a partner and a job - please take all my money Angry

NordicPrincess · 04/10/2010 13:07

If you think its wrong that cb be takenaway from those on 43k then why were you happy to see a government in power who are in favour of higher taxes and slashing the benefits to those with less than a quater of your income or the unemployed? realising the nature of the tories to late i feel.

People moan about the state of the country after labour but they they forget that it was the tories who sold of all our assets and privatised water, etc...If we still had those kinds of profits coming in we wouldnt be in this mess at all.

the tories are nasty pieces of work, any party that doesnt tell you their policies until theyare in isnt to be trusted
