Really??? I am Shock at who she has put through!

OP posts:
withorwithoutyou · 03/10/2010 21:43

mayorquimby no, i agree, did not like Gamu at all - really hated her first audition too, thought it was dreadful.

MollysChambers · 03/10/2010 21:43

I thought it was really predictable except for Gamu. She was brilliant and should definitely have gone through before that messy haired blonde. Didn't take to her at all.

Wasn't surprised Cher went through. She's quirky but seems worryingly young and fragile for that level of pressure.

Simon has pulled off a bit of a master stroke by deciding to put together the two groups as the groups, JLS apart, have always been awful. Wasn't suprised to see he had the groups after that change in the rules. Hmm

I like Matt Cardigan. Not sure that he has the X factor but seem like a very likeable bloke.

MissDolittle · 03/10/2010 21:47

I like Cher. At least she is a bit different to everyone else. Its obvious she had tonsilitis, you could tell from her speaking voice even before she started to sing. Katie is shit though, can't sing or remember the words. I don't think she is original or quirky at all and I think she will become more annoying the longer she stays in.

Simon has made a mockery of the groups by putting through 2 groups which he manufactured.

I don't like any of the boys, especially the one with the too small, dirty hat. I liked the one who works in a cinema.

PotPourri · 03/10/2010 21:49

Cheryl made a great choice in terms of her future career - surely it's blatantly obvious now!!! She put through who Simon told her to put through - you really don't want to cross Simon when he can crush anyone in that business (including any little girl she could've put through instead anyhow!)

mayorquimby · 03/10/2010 21:49

I was happy all-round. The people I couldn't stand didn't get through and the 2/3 I did like made it.
Louis - shit category couldn't have done much better with the choices but no real hope there.
Simon- didn't want the two duo's to get through or those absolute bell-ends Princes and Knaivs.Didn't really like anyone in the groups, just hated those.
For the blokes I wanted the guy who always wears a hat (matt is it?) and Nicolo to get through. Didn't want the heavy black guy who's name escapes me or the young white guy with the really gelled hair (can't think of his name either). Didn't like either of them.

For the girls - really didn't want Gamu to get through. Wanted the scouser and the one who sang the Soulja-boy song for her audition to get through.

SixtyFootDoll · 03/10/2010 21:50

CAnt beleive she chose Katie over Gamu.
I thought Dannis choices were dodgy too, Paije should have gone through over Nico.

Simon has the strongest category I think the girl group are strong and teh young boys will have all the girls votes!

MollysChambers · 03/10/2010 21:52

Simon definitely in with a good chance of winning this year. Bit dodgy though innit? Two out the three acts being manufactured by him? Liked all three groups though.

hogshead · 03/10/2010 22:00

Ok every year I swear I will NOT get sucked into the X Factor and yet here I am again talking about it!

I would like to see the `big twist' being that now all the judges have chosen their acts they all now actually have to swap round - now THAT would be interesting!

Also I would like to see a fifth neutral' judge on the panel to actually offer some criticism and advice on singing technqiues - inrecent series the phrase you nailed it' has been overused for performances that were not good.

Cheryl and Dani had some interesting choices - not necessarily the strongest vocalists by any stretch of the imagination.

ifancyashandy · 03/10/2010 22:09

Cher scares me. They clearly ain't psyc testing!

soopermum1 · 03/10/2010 22:21

Cher looks like Barbara Cartland. She needs to tear off those eyelashes and let her eyebrows grow back. I thought they would have 'fixed' her look for the show, but in the bit at the end where they did the publicity shots of all the singers it looks like they haven't. She's only 16, she shouldn't be hiding behind all that slap.

The boys needed a bloody good haircut. I could barely see their faces.

Argh, getting old

pjmama · 03/10/2010 22:22

I'm with hogshead, I think the twist is that they'll make them swap groups.

SixtyFootDoll · 03/10/2010 22:23

Cher looks much older than 16, reminds me of 'whatever happened to baby jane' with all that wonky make up.

If she was my daughter i wouldnt let her continue and would take her home and feed her up a bit. Poor girl.

Anenome · 03/10/2010 22:24

Gaamu cold sing sure...but did she hve the x factor? No....she came across as cold....

hogshead · 03/10/2010 22:25

please please let the twist be they all have to swap catergories - Simon might burst a blood vessel!!

pigletmania · 03/10/2010 22:26

Total fix, Tracy Cohen should have got through.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 03/10/2010 22:27

I think it will be the wildcard thing and a new Judge and i think it will be that Nicole Sherzinger (sp?) hopefully they will let the public decide who goes into it though.

StealthPolarBear · 03/10/2010 22:30

Didn't she say she thought she could relax when Gamu sang? So why did she put her through? And she put the one who couldn't sing / remember anything / find her own bottom through?????
I also think Cher should have been let go. I thought she did a brilliant audition, but understandably not so good then, and the pressure is getting to her. They should have told her to try again next year.

3littlefrogs · 03/10/2010 22:31

I felt so sorry for Cher - the poor kid obviously had raging tonsillitis, she should have been tucked up in bed, on antibiotics. She looked really poorly.

Mumcentreplus · 03/10/2010 22:31

Bluddy hell I blame the drugs...what was she thinking??...2 people who could not sing in a 2 person audition???...she had the strongest group and picked the weakest???..I pray the twist is giving some of those other girls a chance...

StealthPolarBear · 03/10/2010 22:33

yes I think CHer could ahve won but she won't now!

puffling · 03/10/2010 22:33

Cheryl didn't put anyone thru', probavbly neither did Simon. The producers do it.

Cher has such an odd old fashioned yokelly voice when she talks. She could be her own Gran down the local pub after 10 pints.

Mumcentreplus · 03/10/2010 22:34

Cher is 16 (going on 26)plenty of time to come back and try again...this is why I hate X-factor..nonsense..

maighdlin · 03/10/2010 22:37

i was very disappointed by tonight, mainly because that italian twat got in over paije. im actually glad gamu is not in it she cried so much it eventually fecked me off yes we get it you love your mum you want to be a singer blah blah blah. if she had of smiled instead of gurning i would have rooted for her more. cher is awful she is far to thin and isn't actually that good a singer she just looks pissed off and screws up her face. katie is "im so original look at me!! LOOK AT ME!!! It took me three hours to look like i got dressed in the dark by a blind person from the 80s" and she is such a ditz i foresee major live show fuck up plus tears. the only one i would be happy for if they one is rebecca. she has a great unique voice and seems like a genuinely nice girl. why do i watch this again???

ThatVikRinA22 · 03/10/2010 22:39

id be interested to know how Cheryl can judge anyone who can sing so much better than her....(thatd be them all then)

hogshead · 03/10/2010 22:42

Its quite interesting when you listen to Cheryl's voice when she's talking - she seems to have just one tone of voice that doesnt alter however emotional she gets
