*urgent plz come and tell me how long to cook shoulder of lamb!*

i have a shoulder of lamb about to go in the oven. it cost me £5.00, how long and on what temp do i cook it for?

about an hour and a half on 180

Gas 6 or 200C. 25 mins per pound should do it.

I have just put one into the oven at 160 for four hours, I studded it with garlic first.

We do our in lamb stock with a teaspoon of mint sauce half way up meat, if you have time put on for 150c for about 3 to4 hrs and it will fall of the bone in the most scrumptious juicy way.

you need to know the weight of thr lamb before you can know how long to cook it. lamb can take quite a while to cook

low and slow for shoulder, i would whack it in at say 220 for 10 minutes and then cover and turn it right down to 120 for around 4 hours.

Chuck an onion, celery, carrots and garlic in for the last hour.

In a roasting dish with some stock, red wine, onion, carrot and rosemary. About 120-130 for 4-5 hours, until you can lift the bones out clean. I wouldn't fast roast it, like a leg of lamb, because the bones make it a bit of a pain to carve.

An hour don't sound long enough tbh,180 sounds about right though put in middle of oven.

IM sure i put mine on 1 45minutes all depends how big it is though
