to think it is ridiculous that I'm sat here contemplating going outside and telling a bunch of PRIMARY age children to please keep it down because their own parents can't be arsed to?

They are frigging about in the middle of the road shouting and screaming and have been doing for about 2 hours now and its really starting to annoy me.

I've got no problem with children playing but they are screaming and swearing and pushing each other about and fighting.

Why are their parents letting them behave like that?!

We have the Kamikaze football team round here, and no, their parents don't seem bothered.

I don't want to sound like a complete idiot but one of the kids is really naughty and I actually feel a bit intimidated by the fact he wouldn't think twice about 'bricking a window' :(

YANBU. The kids in my mum's road are like this. They are out til 10 at night on school nights running up and down the road shouting, swearing and screaming, kicking balls into the neighbours' gardens and playing chicken with the cars. They are all under 10 years old. Then their parents stand on their doorsteps and shout for them to come in...and then shout again...and then again. Selfish bastards.

TotorosOcarina · 28/09/2010 19:26

Lol south, they were out there till 10:30 last night!

I used to live on estate like this. I moved.

atswimtwolengths · 28/09/2010 19:27

If they are disturbing you and they're swearing and intimidating, I'd call the Community Police to come down the road on their patrol. That's the point of them, isn't it?

TotorosOcarina · 28/09/2010 19:28

Just for calification - they are not playing nicely.

For example one lad was just lay ontop of the other riding his back, punching his head and shouting 'you fucker'

just go and do it. they'll think you're a miserable old bag but they might just move away/go inside/shut the f up.

sorry, not very tolerant today.
