I love it - especially watching the very arrogant cocky ones getting "fired".
I just find it compulsive viewing - especially when they have a horror like Katie Whatsername from a couple of years back.
Sad, I know, but I'll be glued to the TV every Wednesday night Blush

I always get fascinated by how much make up the women wear, lashings of mascara and eyeliner and really bright lipsticks!

Are those two from last year still an item, the one from the C5 programme?

Oh and I wish SurALLAN would have facial scrub before hand, the shine and blackheads on the close ups show it all - uuggg.

No Margaret this year - boo hoo. I wonder what Karen Brady will be like. I'm with ya on the excitement.

And wait for it........Nick Hewer was my first ever boss in 1989!!!!

Hedgeblunder · 28/09/2010 18:41

Oooh me too me too me tooo!(ahem)

Mowiol · 28/09/2010 18:44

Really carcaro??!! Gosh - what was he like to work for??

I always love the vying NOT to be the first project manager - hahaha

I'll miss Margaret too - she was very elegant and clever.

Karen Brady was OK on Junior App - can't say the same for the contestants though. Cocky wee so-and-sos!

Not a moment to soon!

BertieBasset · 28/09/2010 18:56

I can't wait, it's my fav programme ever. Well that and Masterchef, so I'll be in heaven next week Grin

DetectivePotato · 28/09/2010 19:49

Oh I didn't realise it was next week!! Yay.

I watch nothing regularly so I enjoy it when there is something decent on.

DH and I are excited too! Possibly overly so, so I'm saying YANBU - it's either that or we're BU too Grin

cansu · 28/09/2010 19:55

OOh am now over excited myself, didn't know this. will have to spend less time moaning / commenting on mumsnet.

ProzacTheGiggleFairy · 28/09/2010 19:56

Ooh thanks for the reminder. I will have to set it to record soon.

Squitten · 28/09/2010 20:14

Yay! Even DH will sit and watch it so it must be good Smile No other programme is able to collect such a bunch of smackable smug twats

Mowiol · 28/09/2010 20:28

"smackable smug twats" - lololol

Couldn't have put it better meself.

Love a good rant at the telly we do in our house!

Required viewing in this house too. I always wonder where the female contestants get their FARKING HORRIBLE suits from. Not that difficult to find something that makes you look not-like-a-prison-warder, surely?

BarkisIsWilling · 28/09/2010 21:04

I know it's LORD SUGAR now, but I still call him SURALAN.

Cannot wait!!!!

I know - talk about busses coming all at once...

Spooks

Masterchef

Apprentice

and

Strictly

clare21 · 28/09/2010 21:32

Major excitement last night in our house when the ad came on before Spooks. One of my friends comes round regularly on Wed nights once the series is about half way through. She brings takeaway and we sit there glued to the screen, food in one hand glass in the other. But it's at the wrong time of year... missed it in the spring. Wonder who'll be doing the BBC2 'you're fired' show instead of Adrian Chiles.

Mowiol · 28/09/2010 22:05

I may have heard a rumour that it's Dara O'Brian who is doing the "You're Fired" show.
Don't take my word though - I am often wrong Grin.

As to the horrible suits - they are surely "required uniform" as all these women are awful pushy bints who aim to terrify.

Nothing like a sweeping generalisation eh??

I can't wait I am on the edge of my seat in anticipation. When is it going to be on

Gillybean2010 · 28/09/2010 22:33

Can I add my name to the excited? One of the few programmes that DH and I will watch together.

Mowiol · 28/09/2010 22:38

Course you can Gilly - bit like that with me and my DH - he watches cars, trawlermen, men stuff really!
But this is something we both get our teeth into!!

Nick Hewer was firm but fair, he smoked at his desk and I used to sit on reception right next to his office. He promoted me from receptionist to junior account executive which started me on my public relations career! I once ripped the pocked of my cardigan on a door handle, it was a lovely new M&S one and I was a bit upset (I was 19) and he got his PA to get me a new one (it was the 80's) How nice was that! He was also very dry with his humour, it was a great job in Covent Garden, used to go to Pineapple Dance studios and The Sanctuary Spa and have drinks in all the lovely bars after work.

carocaro · 29/09/2010 08:12

If you like MAsterchef you HAVE TO watch Masterchef Austrailia on Watch - hardcore brlliance!
