Friday: DD2 drops her old but good, macbook. One cracked case, one damaged port (it won't charge) ..one visit to Mac fixers where we await the bill (she can pay, she's 16 and has a p/t job)
Saturday; Take DD1 to Uni. Find her ailing laptop has a fried ethernet card and the track pad has failed.needs it for study so off to Currys , bought a new one. (She has to pay me back pronto!!)
Saturday..get home to find DS1's ancient lap top's charger has snapped... order new one from ebay.
(in case you think I'm rich they have all saved for them themselves!)
Today , my iphone died. Home button conked and now is stuck on one screen even after restore. NO hope of replacing.
Then... DD1 rang in tears from Uni. New laptop.. TWO days old.. black screen and HORRIBLE noise, she held the phone to it for me to listen. Tried rebooting several times to no effect. Rang Curry's who arsed me about for a while before telling her to get it to them. She's in a new city 150 miles form home, with no transport and homesick:( The taxi will cost her week's food money:( but she has to pay her rent ONLINE.....so need it replaced.
So fed up. Surely a £400 laptop should manage more than 2 bloody days?!!??!!?!?! Worse isI have the receipt (as I paid) and they tried to tell me they wouldn't swap it without. Think the guy's ears may still be smarting 
after I pointed out that they have the receipt on their system....
Fed up.:( And feeling sad for my DD who is feeling lonely in her new place at Uni, and can't even curl up with us online....
