to not tell DH?

My bedroom seriously needs desecrating. DH disagrees. Sad

I reckon if I don't mention the water leakage marks on the ceiling for a while the ceiling will be wrecked and DH will not be able to procrastinate any longer.

I have a lovely sage green in mind, obviously with new curtains and bed linen.

AIBU not to tell him for my own selfish reasons?

Um, sounds pretty desecrated already. Water leaks? Won't just be the ceiling that's desecrated...

gingerwig · 26/09/2010 20:57

there's a leak affecting the ceiling?

RandyRussian · 26/09/2010 20:57

My bedroom seriously needs desecrating.

Shouldn't you call a priest or sumfing? Grin

gingerwig · 26/09/2010 20:57

fix the leak and decorate it yourself Smile

thisisyesterday · 26/09/2010 20:59

um, i think you should tell him. if there is a water leak then you don't want to risk more damage....

pinkbasket · 26/09/2010 20:59

I just repainted our bedroom when I wanted it doing. Dh is used to coming home to the walls being a different colour.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 26/09/2010 21:00

Oooops - I actually meant decorating.

Will you do it yourself, or get a desecrator in?

Suncottage · 26/09/2010 22:19

Come round to mine Chaos we are desecrating decorating and I am sick to back bloody teeth of it. Three fecking weeks of it and not wishing to sound smug, but we can afford to get someone in to do it.

Oooooh, noooo. We have to do it ourselves.

Sometimes I hate DP.

Most of the time he is great though Grin

ChaosTrulyReigns · 26/09/2010 22:22

Ny DH is the best DIYer in the world so I have no options Kurri. Sad - I am not allowed to play either as he is a perfectionist and I arsed be can't with the hassle.

Sunc I would love to come and play, does your house smell of wet walls? That smell is utter bliss to me. Shaould've married a plastererer.

Chaos

Come and play - we can have margaritas while he is up a ladder.

We can take it in turns to kick it hold it whilst he is 16 feet up Grin

ChaosTrulyReigns · 26/09/2010 22:46

Tell me more about his DIY outfit please Sunc.Grin

So he won't do it and you're not allowed to do it? Are you five? You should be in bed.

thumbwitch · 27/09/2010 01:58

chaos, I think I love you - the idea of a desecrated bedroom is just fab!

I wouldn't let the ceiling fall down, tbh - too much collateral damage risk. But perhaps invite some friendly toddler around, arm them with marker pens and "accidentally" let them loose in your bedroom? Grin

ChaosTrulyReigns · 27/09/2010 02:07

FFS backatya Heracles - he doesn't think it's the most pressing decorating project at the mo, and I CBA with his perfectionism over DIYing (like he CBA with my anal attention to detail on the accounts). It's just the division of labour in our household.

So ner.

Hi thumb.Smile

DD1 tried your approach with nail varnish, but was very subtle. Shock and Sad
