You should give her a treat for coming back. Otherwise she will not think it's worth coming back quickly in the future. Grin
We do it with our dog - he sometimes runs away from his lead, so we spend next 15 minutes coaxing him to get back in a nice voice so he's not afraid to come back, while all the time swearing and calling him worst names under our breaths... He is so happy to run around and 'dine' from near-by restaurant's bin... Hmm

Change her perception of coming back, treat her when she comes, even if it takes some time. I think you're anthromorphising or however you spell it. Grin

I have tried treating her when she comes back, problem is she thinks she's bloody royalty and has a habit of barking crossly at me to try and get her own way (she scrapes her back feet at me too like a flippin bull) Grin i haven't spoilt her (well maybe a little)she was 4 when we got her and as stubborn as a mule !!
