Grin

Did you find any you like?

thisisyesterday · 25/09/2010 20:26

too many! i am so indecisive. i want shops to only have ONE type of everything

do i want a towelling mule? a secret support faux fur boot? a classic collection embroidered pump?

sweetcat · 25/09/2010 20:28

Sorry but this has amused me. Bet they have fluffy ones with kitten heels don't they?
Always secretly fancied a pair of those

pointydog · 25/09/2010 20:28

I'd've thought you could rule out at least 70 of those slippers at one glimpse.

I'll have a look

pointydog · 25/09/2010 20:32

I've just browsed them. Only about 5 are worth looking at. And even two of them are dodgy.

Choice is often an illusion.

pointydog · 25/09/2010 20:33

SHow us the ones you're considering and I bet it's the same 4 or 5 half decent ones.

thisisyesterday · 25/09/2010 20:36

haha i just want ones i can slip on. some nice memory foam ones i think.

i thought i wanted a cable knit mule but the reviews weren't very good lol

but what is the world coming to when we need 83 choices of slipper.

OP posts:
thisisyesterday · 25/09/2010 20:36

and yes, sweetcat, there are fluffy ones with a heel on there
maybe i should get those?? i don't think they'd keep my feet warm tho

Its called Christmas.

LynetteScavo · 25/09/2010 21:27

you want to go here 9or not)

They have 15,000 pairs of shoes. I tried telling my mother, but she insisted they must only have 7,500 pairs. Hmm
Until she went, and spent hours trying every single bloody pair on! Then she agreed with me, they do have 15,00 pairs, not 15,00 shoes!

NorbertDentressangle · 25/09/2010 21:36

How strange that you were drawn to the cable knit mule as thats what I have on my feet at this very moment. Very warm, very comfortable.

I bought mine in branch of M&S having failed miserably to find any other slippers that looked as if they would be OK for someone under the age of 65

I have just PMSL at the reviews on the M&S website though especially the woman who bought the ones to match her bedroom colour-scheme (WTF? Buying slippers to match your decor?)

thisisyesterday · 26/09/2010 07:52

"i had to return these slippers, they made my feet too hot, i don't know what they're made of.."

pmsl

15,000 pairs of shoes in one place is just too many.

And how about the woman who bought the cable knit slippers and said:

"I found these naughty little numbers changed my life!! I now have met the man of my dreams and i have never looked back! Get them in your life !!! "

Personally they haven't been quite as life-changing for me but watch this space Wink Grin

thisisyesterday · 26/09/2010 19:18

hmmm i think maybe i should get those ones

OP posts:
Vallhala · 26/09/2010 19:26

:(

How come my M&S search only produced 81 results?

I feel cheated now!

FindingMyMojo · 26/09/2010 19:31

you need the birkenstock slipper - once you go there you'll never go anywhere else. thick felted wool all around on a cork bed - wonderful!!!

FindingMyMojo · 26/09/2010 19:34

birkenstock slipper I ahve them in red. Next time I'll get turquoise. DP has them in grey (they are the only clothing we have that match BTW)

FindingMyMojo · 26/09/2010 19:36

aaaaaaarg - no longer LINED inside in the felt according to these pictures. Maybe you need to buy them in Germany to get that or perhaps they changed the design? Still the cork is v warm too

thisisyesterday · 26/09/2010 19:40

oh no valhalla, i hope they haven't sold out of the classic jacquared (sic) ones they had!!!

OP posts:
thisisyesterday · 26/09/2010 19:41

hmmm i do LOVE my birkenstocks so maybe you're right....

do you think thjey'd be nice and warm if they aren't lined? hmm

OP posts:
diddl · 26/09/2010 19:43

I only got 75 pairs!

thisisyesterday · 26/09/2010 20:35

omg they're selling out fast!

maybe they had 83 different styles, but only one of each style?

OP posts:
diddl · 26/09/2010 20:39

At least if this keeps up you´ll find it easier to chooseGrin

NorbertDentressangle · 27/09/2010 09:08

The selling out of slippers on the M&S website must be to do with the life changing effects their slippers have if you believe their reviews.

"My husband and children never used to lift a finger around the house but since I bought these fuschia pink fluffy mules they have taken to doing all the cleaning, washing, ironing, cooking, walking the dogs and even putting the toilet seat down. Get these slippers in your life...NOW" Wink
