To think airline staff don't control the weather?

If your flight has been cancelled due to a thunderstorm, it is worth noting that in all likelyhood that the airline staff did not cause the thunderstorm and should not be treated as such.

Seriously, the shite my friend got today for a cancelled flight to Edinburgh is mental.

If I had the money I would charter a flight specifically for people who are so bloody busy that theydont give a shit about their safety and the safety of others..

YANBU at all, I always remember the episode of Airline where Easyjet had to cancel flights because of fog/snow and people were ranting away/having adult tantrums.

Working in customer service, it shouldn't surprise me though, many people seem to think that if they shout lots they will get what they want (it's usually the opposite way!)

True! I used to work for the same airline and remember a womans face turn purple when I said I didn't want her to be at the airport any more than she did!

watching 'Airline' just now, couldn't do that job!

I worked as a holiday rep and people would actually come and find me or turn up to the what's on welcome purely to complain about the weather...

Bonkers!

Made me laugh! If some of those people saw themselves on Airline they would be mortified. Obviously not fun when you are delayed. But complaining about the weather is daft. sometimes seems like airlines are very overcautious (such as during volcanic ash) but who would want to risk their life to fly in a storm/blizzard/ashcloud?
