you don't disappear as soon as you realise you've got the wrong house??

Just had a knock at the door, jumped up to answer it to see no-one standing there.

But heard a voice next door saying "oh sorry - got the wrong parcel".

Peered round the corner to see a parcel delivery bloke rushing off to his van to get the correct parcel.

He looked at me and said "oh yea - got the wrong house" (and the wrong bloody parcel when he did find the right house ).

AIBU to think it's bloody rude to just disappear off after knocking - FGS that's what I expect kids to do

It annoys me when people do this. Or when they realise they have rang the wrong number/can't remember what they were phoning for and then put the phone down.

I work in a take away and the amount of times I hear people shouting "What did you want again? OFGS" and then slamming the phone is unreal. Would it take much just to say "Sorry I'll ring back in a bit"?
