Should put very important school letters in his school bag, not scrumpled in a heap in the pocket of his coat?? Considering said letter was sent home on Friday, and was ungratefully received by me at 3.15pm this afternoon, telling me that DS2 needs a handmade superhero costume for tomorrow bloody morning.

YADNBU - I hear this so often from my SIL who has three of the little rotters angels.

I've just found an important school letter in a 15 year old's blazer pocket and I would imagine there are others lurking elsewhere.

Thankfully I'm quite creative, and the costume will involve a cereal box, some silver wrapping paper, an empty plastic bottle filled with clingfilm, and lots of tinfoil, as he wants to be 'ice blast man'. (They have had to invent their own superheroes as part of their topic). It's just frustrating that I could've done the actual 'making' over the weekend, instead I've got to now do it on a school night.
