It's a common but completely unproven way of testing for allergies. I wouldn't have bitten my tongue.

Yanbu, some people believe any old shit when it comes to allergies (kinesiology, homeopathy etc). Hats off for managing to bite your tongue!

MisterW · 20/09/2010 14:25

I should add that it's common among quack therapists, not real doctors.

misdee · 20/09/2010 14:28

i was thinking quack.

but she really belived it. i just nodded

kinesiology, is that the one that 'test' your muscles?

I'm guessing it wasn't an allergy test but an 'intolerance test'.... this offers far more scope to the snake oil salesman private clinic business. Expect your friend to be shown intolerant to a wide and exciting range of harmless substances.

how did you bite your tongue? I'd have been rofl very loudly I think!

DS was suffering from headaches.

DP wanted SD to go for tests at hospital as referred by GP

DP's ex wife took SD to some "witch doctor" who "diagnosed" her as having allergies to all sorts of strange substances.

Ex wife has sent DP a letter telling him how he mustn't cook with certain saucepans. How he must not bring his work clothes into the house and how said child must not sit in front of a tv for more than a few minutes.
