Dh cant remember sons name!!!

OK I'll come clean, ds is not born yet and we don't even know if he is a he BUT I have had several nice conversations with dh where we agreed on a name and I felt really happy that we both agreed, liked it etc. They felt like special/important conversations to me. Anyway, this evening he says he cannot remeber said name and furthermore cannot understand why I am pissed off about it. Be honest- is it horrible pregnancy hormones or would you be annoyed too? Be honest - I can take it!

It's your hormones.

It's pregnancy hormones, I think. Your baby is much more "real" to you than to your DH; once s/he arrives it'll be a different story.

Oh pooh - was feeling quite righteous then but will go with the majority and accept I may be being a bit of a cow. Damn!! I'm only 8 weeks btw but, in my defence I have 2 ds already who had to wait ages for names and I'm just mentally preparing myself for another boy and this was my method - oh well.

I cant remember my sons' names nor can OH.

For the first three or four weeks of his life we kept calling DC5 Atticus. Its a lovely name but its the dog's

Back to you, its your hormones. Generally (please dont flame me) men dont connect with babies until they can really see them and they do stuff back i.e. smile. They love them but its harder for them to get involved the way women do.

Actually, I find the first 12 weeks horrendous in my pregnancies and then feel quite calm and serene - (floats off!)

I know I said I could take it but give me a break - shock pregnancy news, cant tell anyone yet except a couple of close friends who have BOTH said - oooh it might be a girl! Just had 1 or 2 brief convos where I said I would be cool with another ds and one way to get head rounmd that would be to agree name and feel bit more positive about whole thing.

At 8 weeks I used to occassionally forget DW was pregnant - never mind remembering baby names.

I'm really not like that Scottish - am actually fairly normal and balanced honest - with this one exception obviously. However, I am making a vow to be nice to first trimester mums as actually it's quite a rubbish time - is there a week at which one is permitted to think about names btw??

lol i bloody forgot the names i liked through my pregnancies, would take me ages to re remember the "good" names lol
