my husband is amazing and i love him more than anything but recently he has taken to saying its alright for you you have all the time in the world just because im on maternity leave and he is at work , this means i end up looking after ds all day and end up doing all the housework when he comes home his tea is always ready and then he gets to do whatever he fancies . im starting to feel a bit resentful , dh works with his best mates and gets to have a laugh on lunch hours whilst a ;lot of the time im on my own because most people i know are at work

All men are like that hun, they think that being at home you sit on your arse all day and that looking after the kids is a doddle!

It'll get better, leave your DS with him for a day and go shopping or go to lunch with a girlfriend and then he'll soon realise theres alot more to it.

Next time he says it, push him to expand on it a bit. How do you have all the time in the world? What does he mean by it? What does he think you do with your time? Once he has to put it into words, he'll probably see he's being a bit or an arse here.

And I think you should tell him you're feeling a bit isolated at home.

Lady, apologise if I offended.

My DH was like that whilst I was not working and got a culture shock when i went back to work and he was home for the last week of the holidays. Now realises its just like working at the office.

Not all men are like that at all!

My husband is well aware of how hard it is to be a full time sahm looking after children and the house. Nip this in the blood or else you will be doing everything. My dh knows he has 2 jobs, one in an office which pays him money and one at home as a dad, which doesn't. He also knows me being at home full time enables him to be able to go out and earn money.
