to want to think about happy things

nannylocal · 12/09/2010 18:27

Thought it might be nice to think about the little things that make us happy/laugh/feel like it's going to be a good day....instead of what people do to annoy us/why we hate them etc. Not really big, important things, but silly little ones...'odd likes' if you will.

Here are mine;

  1. Pic n Mix - because it's as much fun to buy as it is to eat.
  1. People who say 'the old days' when they mean 6 months ago.
  1. When someone runs for the bus and the bus driver waits.
  1. When something that you needed to buy anyway is on BOGOF
  1. The word 'chillax'...I don't know why as everyone else hates it and I don't use it, but when someone else says it, it makes me smile, which in turn makes me 'chillax'!

What are yours?

I wouldn't recommend AIBU if you're looking for happiness!

Gin and tonic, with a slice of lime.

Men in tight trousers with riding boots (there's a thread in chat)

Making sarcastic comments (sorry, it makes me happy if I can come up with a good one)

bigchris · 12/09/2010 19:48
  1. Coming home from work and realising there is a bottle of Pinot in the fridge
  2. The kids excited faces the night before their birthday
  3. Getting a takeaway delivered when it's pouring with rain
  4. Waking up to deep snow on a Saturday when we don't need to go anywhere
  5. Opening a brand new hardback by one of my favourite authors

i went to get some berry canes (raspberries, blackcurrants etc) from the pound shop today. i picked up three and went to pay, no cash and cards over a fiver. so i left stuff on till and went to et two more to make £5. when i got to the till, she said they are bogof so actually i'd need 10! i had to go to the cash point.

it was a pita traipsing around that awful shop poundland with the kids but was bargainous in the end :o

devilsadvocaat · 12/09/2010 19:52

i like it when:

1 - people eye you up
2 - when you want to buy something but don't because it is too expensive and then you see something even better for half the price
3 - when you find some cash in a handbag you haven't used for a while

devilsadvocaat · 12/09/2010 19:53
