It's my friend's wedding today, and I am invited to the evening reception. I was meant to be going with a couple of friends, but I have glandular fever Sad

I am worried however that if I don't go my friend will be angry with me, we have been friends for years and I am also friends with her DH. But at the same time, it's just the evening bit isn't it? She wouldn't probably get time to speak to me anyway, but I know it's the principle! But I feel so ill, and really don't know if I could even manage getting ready. I'm just so worried that it won't seem like a valid reason!

You are ill ffs, stay in bed and rest.
Don't spread the germs on either. Nobody will thank you for it.

Oh, and hope you feel better soon.
Didn't mean to sound quite so harsh.

(Although it really annoys me when people go out with infectious diseases, being the sister of of two immuno-compromised siblings and also pregnant myself.)

Thankyou miffster Smile

That's what I was worried about too, as I can't stop bloody coughing! Just worried it sounds like an excuse.
