Do they still do the orange ones? I loved them.

Housewife2010 · 09/09/2010 20:13

I used to love the coffee ones, but they stopped them years ago. Does anyone remember Neapolitans? They were another childhood favourite of mine. Especially the Mocha ones.

tethersend · 09/09/2010 20:13

Oooh, is it Christmas already?

Season's greetings Smile

They taste of broken glass.

WhereYouLeftIt · 09/09/2010 20:17

YABU. Go to Sainsburys and get a box of half-price After Eights (£1.42).

TheInvisibleManDidIt · 09/09/2010 20:18

My granddad used to always buy me neapolitans when he came to visit!!! Grin I loved them.

Why do they get rid of all the nicest chocolates?

Tethersend I went into tesco's today for a couple of things and picked up one of their recycling bags. It has pictures of christmas decorations on it!!!!

TheCrackFox · 09/09/2010 20:19

YABU

I prefer the orange ones.

loopyloops · 09/09/2010 20:30

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 09/09/2010 20:36

yes, I bought one of each last year when they were on offer together - both Nestle :(
I used ot love after eights. And rolos.

loopyloops · 09/09/2010 20:37

You keep em all to yourself the BBTB... You do know that because you're not sharing them you're solely responsible for third world poverty?

bottyburpthebarbarian · 09/09/2010 20:49

Would you like to share the burden Loopy?

OP posts:
loopyloops · 09/09/2010 20:53

Mint ones please!

(but don't tell on me)

emmanana · 09/09/2010 20:58

Traditional price war on the big tins of chocs has started! Family tins of Quality Street £5. Give it a few days and they'll be £4.90 in Tesco and £4.89 in Morrisons etc :-)

loopyloops · 09/09/2010 21:00

mmmmmmmmmmmmm chocolate....

QS are Nestle too, non?

notremotelyintofootie · 09/09/2010 21:02

I love this time of year! Grin

bottyburpthebarbarian · 09/09/2010 21:03

Yes I think so Loopy

OP posts:
emmanana · 09/09/2010 21:05

No, they're Rowntrees. Hope Roses come in the bargaining ring soon, I prefer them!
Sorry, don't want to turn this into a 'lets boycott Nestle' thread. Just having a bit of fun speculating about Christmas!! :-)

bottyburpthebarbarian · 09/09/2010 21:06

Emma - it says on my nestle matchmakers that they are "Nestle Quality Street Matchmakers"

Sad

emmanana · 09/09/2010 21:08

Is there anyone on here who will HONESTLY buy some Christmas choccies now , and won't dig in till Christmas week? Why do I tell myself every year that I'm able to do it!

emmanana · 09/09/2010 21:19

Yes - Rowntree and Nestle Merged. However, if anyone is really serious about boycotting Nestle on grounds of principal - good on you. Sadly, I don't have the conviction/wherewithall, but at least I'm honest :-) Why don't you get hold of their annual report; it lists all the companies they invest in and the funds in which their pension funds are invested. You would be suprised at how you would have to avoid shopping in the supermarket/High street altogether. If you write to Nestle in Croydon, they will send you an annual report for free!
