Today, tube strikes.
I dont have a bad journey usually. Just one train, one tube, thats it. Takes an hour tops.
This morning I was up at 6am, had to get a bus, 2 trains, a bus then walk for 20 mins. I wasnt annoyed, I was pleased Id even made it in! Especially when I heard a girl around the corner from me took a less 'secret' route (I know all the tricks) and it took 4 hours.
So tonight, Im still not that pissed off. It was hell getting back but thats what you expect from a tube strike.
Her FB status from this morning :
'Why am I up at this unearthly hour! I hate doing the school runs!' This was at 7.45am. Is that not normal waking up time?!?!
Tonights status :
'I could just fall asleep where I am now, so knackered from doing the school run, really takes it out of you.' She has a 5 minute drive.
Im not expecting everyone to have empathy for londoners. Im not expecting her to even care that my journeys were bollox and some people travelled for double what I did. But Im still reading it with that angry vein pumping in my forehead! The school run (she only has one DC at school) but Id rather do that today, then go home and watch Jeremy Kyle and Judge Judy like she did this afternoon. (She works weekends in a clothes shop)
Unreasonable? Probably. But Im pregnant and grumpy.
