That soon it might snow? last winter was fab! 9 inches of snow standing in our street last winter and 3 foot long icicles hanging from gutters ..... love it!

babyicebean · 06/09/2010 19:24

Whens it going to snow then?not before wednesday please!

EccentricaGallumbits · 06/09/2010 19:27

or did you get stuck at work - when nobody else could get in so you ended up working 3 days straight?

lolapoppins · 06/09/2010 19:27

I was trapped in my crappy village (actually my house, we couldn't get out of the drive) for three weeks and had to ration the loo roll! Not an easy task when all you've had to live off is baked beans.

The snow can fuck off this year.

bluejeans · 06/09/2010 19:28

YABVVU

I don't want the trauma of last year ever again - nightmare journeys to work, closed schools, ruined Christmas arrangements

Before that I loved the snow, so this time last year it would've been YANBU

sapphireblue · 06/09/2010 19:30

YABU. The snow caused so many problems.......we were practically housebound for nearly 3 weeks.

bigchris · 06/09/2010 19:30

Pushing pushchairs through the snow up a hill to get to school is no fun

mumbar · 06/09/2010 19:34

YANBU I love the snow.

BUT

W(e)ABU as many had a worse time of it over a period of many weeks. I had a few days off work to play in snow with DS as both schools shut (his and mine) shop just down the road which we sledged too. For many it was a period of suffering.

massivemammaries · 06/09/2010 19:35

Bah Humbug!!!! miserable lot .... I love driving in the snow too ..... snowchains are brilliant

YANBU. We were pretty much one of the only places to not really get it last year...I reckon I'm owed it this year!

massivemammaries · 06/09/2010 19:37

It was like it for weeks here .... I went to morrisons and filled the car with food for 1.50 cos they couldn't sell it .... shared it with my neighbors

PortBlacksand thank you for putting me in a nice autumnal mood! IPA sounds good. I only have Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer in the fridge - but feel that is equally suitable

JudyPink · 06/09/2010 19:55

Absolutely love the snow! Very very excited for those Autumnal chills and getting cosied up! Smile

ChippingIn · 06/09/2010 19:55

YABU - because like PortBlacksand I love Autumn, it's my favourite season in the UK... but if you are happy to wait until November then YANBU Grin

OH and a sudden thaw when LF needs to get to hospital!! (but just along the roads she needs).

massivemammaries · 06/09/2010 19:56

I read on a weather site that part of an iceberg is likely to break off in greenland which could affect the gulfstream and give us the coldest winter ever!
