you've made a spelling mistake in the title....

Giddyup · 06/09/2010 11:34

Is it OK to think to point out when users cannot spell relatively small words?

And in your name. But I am presuming that's the joke?
I am Queen Typo on my new laptop though and cannot say owt without being a big old hypocrite Grin

you are not liking MN much at the moment, are you? Maybe you should try breastfeeding vs formula next for the real MN experience.

whispers... go and have a look at pedants' corner. I never dare to go there, I just know it exists!

Just13moreyearstogo · 06/09/2010 11:40

Are you a laughing ravey or someone who likes to laugh in gravy? Can't work it out.

Could we please stop feeding the troll

ZZZenAgain · 06/09/2010 11:41

I thought he was a laughing ravey

MrsDanversBites · 06/09/2010 11:41

I dont no wot u meen

SEriously, though one of the reasons I love MN is that generally people CAN spell and understand the basic concepts of grammar; very different to a lot of other hunfests parenting sites...

I quite like to be corrected tbh: ventured over to Pedants' Corner once and was corrected from using Forum to Fora, its interesting to learn sth new imo.

Yabu

ZZZenAgain · 06/09/2010 11:41

actually at first I thought it was laughing gravely

MrsDanversBites · 06/09/2010 11:43

Oops, didn't realise I was feeding a troll!

2shoes · 06/09/2010 11:44

yanbu
it is rude and childish and imo makes the person doing it look........small

Giddyup · 06/09/2010 11:47

I have just spotted my own mistake! But my H & N are a bit shagged and it rather puts me off my stroke, (that and the fact I am a bit illiterate myself)

You are still a twat though OP

MrsDanversBites · 06/09/2010 11:49

Although if you do it just because you are losing an argument and latch on to other people's spelling mistakes for that reason, then you are a bit of a knob.

emmyloulou · 06/09/2010 11:49

I haven't noticed this yet and I make loads of typos.

I can spell it's just soemtimes I type to quick, brain faster than hands type thing and I don't always spot it on a proof read, then think oops.

Giddyup · 06/09/2010 11:52

2shoes have you seen Laughingravey's other posts? I actually agree with you really and this is the reason why I lurked on MN for over a year before actually posting. I make myself feel stupid at least thrice daily without needing internet strangers to do it for me.

VinegarTits · 06/09/2010 11:52

have you washed your cheesy nob today OP?

can't remember if anyone has corrected my spelling mistakes on MN. Most people seem to do it by just using the mispelt word in their own post and writing it correctly but not specifically pointing it out IYSWIM

I think OP that it was just a bit of banter and you came across as sturdy enough to take it.
