I am talking about people who shower everyday and bath there toddlers every day.Unless you work in a dirty job you dont have to shower everyday
Also on this site I have read about women who change clothes daily and bedding after a few days.
I shower every 4 days and wear clothes for a week, apart from undies which I sniff everynight to see if they will do another day(I also sniff DW knickers but that is another story)
Just think of all the water these people waste and co2 imissions used to warm the water
There is no need
ooooh I am getting worked up now just thinking about these selfish people
and I havent even started on the all the bleach and detergent flushed down the drains

I could go on but it is sundaynight and I want to chill with a bottle of wine
x

That'll be me then.

I'm trying to imagine who long I would have hung onto any of my jobs, all office jobs involving administrative assistance of one sort or another (legal, medical secretary, PA, etc.) if I wore the same thing to work for days in a row and didn't shower for 4 days.

ChippingIn · 05/09/2010 21:10

laughinggravey (by the way, it's gravy, no e, or is that meant to be gravely??)

If you are at home looking after the kids and never get dirty or sweaty, you might want to have a rethink about what you do all day...

scottishmummy · 05/09/2010 21:15

I love the way the natural skanks can now use the environment card to excuse their soap dodging ways.

I shower when I need to not every morning just becase I can. Are you a skank who goes to bed dirty and needs a shower in the morning?
scruffy so and so

GetOrfMoiLand · 06/09/2010 11:05

lol 'scruffy so and so'.

No, I shower in the morning because I look like the wreck of the hesperus in the morning and cannot run a comb through my hair.

Plus, yes, I do shower because I can. Nowt wrong with that.

If we are playing enviornment top trumps, I recently stopped a 375 mile a week commute, so have reduced emissions, and I do not own a dishwasher or a tumble drier.

So there

actually showering everyday means i can wear clothes 2 or 3 times before washing and means i can change my bedding less often because i shower at night and get into it clean and fresh smelling

if i didnt shower everyday i would certainly have to wash clothes and bedding everyday or else i would stink!

i used to have a boyfriend who only showered once a week, soon got rid of him, dirty fucker

VinegarTits · 06/09/2010 11:20

laughinggravy your cock must smell of moldy cheese

TheCoalitionNeedsYou · 06/09/2010 11:22

LaughingGravy - I run 3 times and swim 2 times a week - can I be allowed to shower a couple of extra times?

nickelbabe · 06/09/2010 11:24

my tuppenorth:

you don't have to shower every day, but at least wash.
I have a once-a-week shower, but I have a "whore's bath" (wash with flannel at the sink, and wash my "undercarriage" (as someone else put so nicely Grin) )

you do need to change your socks and pants every day, regardless of whether they smell.
It might not smell, but if you farted, or didn't wipe properly, then you're just recycling your germs, and the ones that come out of your bum are the bad germs you want to get rid of.

if you're not very smelly generally and you wash as above and use anti-perspirant every day, then yes, you could go a couple of days in the same shirt.
and trousers are fine for a few days too.

I change the sheets about fortnightly, which is enough - you do need to change them regularly, again because of nightly "emissions"

Grin
thatsnotmymonkey · 06/09/2010 11:25

You smell crusty, not of BO and not in your face offensive, but that slightly biscuity crusty smell-tis you! Do you get many invites? I bet you don't, cos you stink!!

The fact that your sniff your DW dirty underwear is just....revolting.

Water shortage is a significant global issue, that is causing conflict in many parts of the world as well as food shortages and all kinds of suffering.

Of course, how often you shower makes no bloody difference to this AT ALL. There is no significant water shortage in this country. Our surplus doesn't get sent to places where there are shortages. So use as much as you like.

If you want to make a difference to the global problem - buy less stuff.

mumeeee · 06/09/2010 12:31

I don't shower every day but do have a good wash. You need to chnge socks and undies every day. Dh actually sometimes chnges his socks twice a day. But I agree you don't have to wash other clothes after one wear. I usually wear and I don't change sheets every few days.

zippy79 · 06/09/2010 12:39
