Really?? you mean you don't like making a face out of your DCs dinner?? Shock

Two halves of baked tates for eyes, sausage for mouth and spag hoops for hair, ketchup for nose and eyeballs?

You're tired of life aren't you? Wink

YABU, I used to love making faces out of kids food. Still make food faces for DH if I'm in the mood.

grayal · 03/09/2010 20:52

It's not so much that as having to dress it up so they'll eat it, you know? Maybe once I've made it I could make a face with it while they're eating... but then again, I always say no playing with your food... Oh dear, maybe I'm just a big old meanie...!

I have never known anyone who fannied about making pictures with their kids' food on a regular basis.

Just been reading the Tesco magazine that comes through the door and there were recipes on there, that's what got me thinking about it!

Making a face isn't playing with your food, playing with your food is moving it about from one place to another to make it looks smaller so you don't have to eat as much - as I understand it.

I get an eye roll with a twinkle in her eye when I still make DD1 (9) a 'face' dinner, sometimes I can't help myself Grin

"At the end of the day, it's the quality of the food and the fact that they're eating that matters. Not that it's dressed up." Posted on behalf of DH, who's looking over my shoulder.

Me, on the other hand, I get slightly irritated when DH puts a plate of food in front of DD that resembles something out of her colouring book when I'm trying to teach her not to play with her food... Hmm

YANBU. It is just Annabel Karmel twattism.

sloanypony · 03/09/2010 21:07

Does a willy and bollocks count on your husband's bangers and mash meal?

Oblomov · 03/09/2010 21:14

I have never made faces, ever. i go as far as sticking the sausages up in the mash, sprinkly peas and drizzling gravy. why do people resort to such nonsense ?
please tell me you don't do it Regularly. please god.
