They've published an article about a guy who's been convicted of sexually assaulting his girlfriend and posting a video of the assault online - accompanied by screengrab of the assault!

Okay, so there's nothing too explicit and the woman's face is pixellated, but surely this is voyeuristic and just wrong, not to mention that it compounds this woman's humiliation.

If you want to check it for yourself, it's here: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1308585/Jonathan-Hock-guilty-sexually-assaulting-girlfriend-posting-footage-online.html

Surely, this is what you want ....

sorrento56 · 03/09/2010 17:08

Yet you are linking it to thousands who wouldn't otherwise see it..

5DollarShake · 03/09/2010 17:11

Confused You're no better than they are, posting a link to it...?

dolphin13 · 03/09/2010 17:19

I bought todays Mail and didn't even notice that. So I'm with sorrento56

arsesandoldlace · 03/09/2010 18:00

Screengrab no longer on the Mail site, thank goodness.

Diamondback · 03/09/2010 18:11

Well, sorrento56 and 5dollarshake, I don't really agree with people complaining about something they haven't even seen as - in theory - I could just be some weirdo, posting about something that's not there. A lot of people might want to see if they agree that it's offensive before putting their name to a complaint. But no-one has to click on the link.

The screengrab is down, so my complaining and posting does seem to have achieved something (hurrah for all of us!) and many thanks for the Press Complaints Commission link, fleshwound Smile
