MN is getting a tad repetative and boring. Why do people keep going over the same old stuff or slightly altering old ones
eg Chocolate cake for supper
oooh I will do one about chocolates for breakfast

I bet even this topic as been done before

why don't you just turn off your computer then? Wink

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 03/09/2010 10:36

Or post something interesting and witty yourself maybe?

laughingravey · 03/09/2010 10:38

I can peal a banana withmy feet

OP posts:
laughingravey · 03/09/2010 10:39

I dont want to turn off my computor, I am on hear to be entertained. But I will go elsewhere

OP posts:
VirginOnTheRidiculous · 03/09/2010 10:43

A lot of us aren't here to entertain you though.

As long as people are people and babies are babies and children are children, you will see the same topics time and again.

You have the ability to Not Read threads you know.

Perhaps you should hire a clown if you need entertaining. Or a barbershop quartet. Or a dance troupe. Or Cliff Richard.

NoahAndTheWhale · 03/09/2010 10:44

This thread makes me think of Why Don't You for some reason.

Did Ant and Dec start off on Why Don't You or have I made it up?

laughingravey · 03/09/2010 10:44

oh I will just fuck off now then

OP posts:
NoahAndTheWhale · 03/09/2010 10:46

Seems like they met on Byker Grove. Ah well.

nikki1978 · 03/09/2010 10:48

I wonder how much it would cost to hire Cliff Richard......?

NoahAndTheWhale · 03/09/2010 10:48

I was right Smile. Ant was on Why Don't You

Here

Can never remember which one is which though.

NoahAndTheWhale · 03/09/2010 10:48

laughingravey I think I am providing something different here.

kittywise · 03/09/2010 10:49

LOL LOL life is repetitive an boring though at times.

Bloody hell you come here expecting to be entertained? Go and get yourself a hobbyHmm

Eleison · 03/09/2010 10:50

Yes, this topic has been done before. Many times. Moaning about repetitiveness is a recognised stage in the MNer lifecycle, four stes after moaning about clique-iness, one step before serial deregistrations, and three steps before finally buggering off to Twitter.

laughingravey · 03/09/2010 10:52

Ollie the ogre who appears in the Barbie dvd Swan lake looks like Ant or Dec I dont know which one I get the bugers mixed up

OP posts:
VirginOnTheRidiculous · 03/09/2010 10:52

How do you get Ant and Dec mixed up? Ant is the tall one and Dec is the one who looks like a serial killer. Are we clear?

I wonder if there's a sliding scale of how much it would cost to hire Cliff. Double if he doesn't sing, a supplement if he doesn't dance and a one off non-refundable deposit that ensures he won't talk.

laughingravey · 03/09/2010 10:54

Kitty
I have got a hobbie Cheese

The gas men are fitting a new boiler so I am just killing time untill they have done

OP posts:
deakell · 03/09/2010 10:55

There are new members to netmums all the time and so they may start a thread and not be aware that it has already been done.

I'm quite new so I wouldn't have a clue if somebody posted about cake for supper 3 months ago.

This is something you have to suffer with open to all members forums really isn't it?

Here's a thought, just don't read that particular thread!

kittywise · 03/09/2010 10:55

Oh cheese, yum!!!!!!

laughingravey · 03/09/2010 10:56

I am fairly new and the first thing I did was to look back at all the old threads and try to come up with new topics

OP posts:
Lynli · 03/09/2010 10:57

There have been many threads about "Fed up with same old stuff on MN".

Please start a scintillating thread, why is it up to everyone else and not you.

The same old stuff is a good thing. It shows we are all normal, have the same problems issues. It can be very comforting.

ShirleyKnot · 03/09/2010 10:59

Do you know what I find repetitive?

IWouldNotCouldNotWithAGoat · 03/09/2010 11:00

Oh please don't go!

IWouldNotCouldNotWithAGoat · 03/09/2010 11:00

Oh please don't go!

VirginOnTheRidiculous · 03/09/2010 11:00

Netmums?

I know I'm sleep deprived, but everything still seems beautifully muted. Where am I?

You looked back at all the old threads? Blimey, you're keen.

Might I suggest the MN Classics topic to you. Highly entertaining and often heartwarming.

laughingravey · 03/09/2010 11:00

I dont have any problems like most on here

My main worry at the moment is the big turd in the toilet that I cannot flush down because the gas men have turned off the water
