to think the baby and the cat are in cahoots?

Baby son is 8 weeks. He has NEVER slept in the night more than 2 hours straight, and we have been delirious with exhaustion.

Last night, I do a dream feed at 9, then he sleeps through until 6.15. I even check him throughout the night to make sure he is still breathing, it is so unusual.

BUT, yesterday afternoon, the cat (in an unguarded moment) shoots down into the cellar. despite our calling and enticing with food, she stays there.

At 1 in the morning, then 3 in the morning then 4 in the morning she runs around under the floor boards yowling to get out, but will not come when we go down or open the door. Constant yowling, while DH and I scrabble in the dirt and dark cellar and DS sleeps on through.

AIBU to suggest that perhaps the baby and the cat have worked out some sort of job share arrangement?

YANBU, my DS and my cat take it in turns to wake me up stupidly early.

The cat is especially sneaky. He miows at half 5, we ignore. He then opens DS' door, miows at him until he wakes, so he then gets really excited about the cat being in his room and starts yelling happily at the cat. My sleep is disturbed. I get up, feed the sodding cat and start the day. Job done, wanker cat.

Oh you poor thing! You need to divide and conquer I thinkwhy not spread some rumours about your cat/the baby?

YANBU

Our new neighbours upstairs have a baby 3 weeks younger than DS2, their bedroom is directly over ours.

The babies are tag teaming night wakings.

I sometimes think there is a conspiracy to not let me sleep.

See it is a global baby-cat-baby phenomenon.

It is okay for me... I am having a quiet day eating, playing with baby and watching dvds.

DH has a job interview....... if the shoe detritus on the bedroom floor is anythig to go by he went to his interview wearing one black (slip on) and one brown (lace up) shoe.

Mrs Chemist - that made me laugh so much :)

I can just picture that as well.....

Mine wake me up every night at such random hours that I'm sure they're training me for having children.....
