To expect replacement credit cards to come by recorded delivery?

The chip went in my JL card 3 weeks ago.
I called, and ordered a replacement which was apparently posted on 21st August.
I know it's been the Bank Holiday, but it still hasn't come.
I phoned today, and asked if it had been sent first class- no.
Now it may arrive tomorrow- but I hope it hasn't gone AWOL in the postal system, or some bent post office worker isn't having fun on my cardI would happily pay for a card to be sent recorded (or whatever it is when you have to sign for it

Hmm I am trying to remember, but I think almost all my replacement cards now come in the post in an unmarked envelope. It seems the received wisdom now is security by stealth.

A bit crap to take more than a week for your card to arrive though, whatever method.

I have never had a credit card sent by recorded delivery.

Ours dont come out live, you need to activate them online so no need for recorded delivery. I expect most companies operate the same.

Same here. Dont they have to be activated anyway (and several security questions answered before thay do) thereby making them useless to anyone who may get hold of them before they are delivered?

Snap!

Ah- well I wish mine would arrive!
Maybe tomorrow (hopeful)
