My DH left on Saturday lunchtime to fly to South Korea for a three day workshop on the island of Jeju. He'd booked the journey in three legs: London-HK, HK-Seoul, Seoul-Jeju, with enough transfer time at each stage but not too much.
London-HK was delayed, meaning that he missed his connecting flight and was reassigned a flight that meant that he would miss his designated connecting flight on to Jeju.
He's usually very good at keeping in touch. The last contact I've had though was yesterday afternoon, just as his plane was taxying (late due to bad weather around HK) out of HK airport. Since then, nothing. In his mailbox were unopened emails from the conference organiser about staying in hotels and getting a taxi to the venue, and another from a Japanese colleague who would be in the same flight about linking up to share the taxi to the hotel on Jeju. I've emailed both asking if DH has arrived, but no answer yet. Does anyone out there have any local knowledge of Jeju? Is it subject to communications failures?
Please help, I'm going rapidly mad here.
