To still think about my kids dad

12 years on,

He was a violent bully, had no contact for the last 12 years but recently keep seeing him in photos on facebook,

Kids have had no contact either,

Its doing my head in, would never go back there but keep being drawn to recent pics,

Is this normal?

Hi, I have no experience myself alfiethekittcat, but I would imagine that it is normal. You will always have an emotional connection with your ex through your children. Maybe the bad memories become slightly watered down over the years and that is why you are feeling this way. However, just think back and imagine what your life would be like now if you'd stayed with him. Look at what your life is like now and be grateful that you were brave enough to make the decision that you did. Going by your comment about your ex, I would say you have done the right thing for you and your children and you should stick to it.
