my mother chased DD2 (2 and a half and a handful) around trying to get ehr ready for bed Grin

I am single working parent, DD's are 8 and 2. XH is working away for months, so havent had even 5 minutes to myself for ages! Its been a long school hols.

My mum has come to help with childcare for the last week. She is a healthy 64yr old (though a tad overweight and lazy). I went upstairs to put some washing away, and just had a little lie down, and fell asleep Grin.

Next thing, I hear mum trying to get DD2 ready for bed, about an hour later :) So I just kep my eyes closed and left her to it!!

You were being utterly sensible.

It was good bonding for your mum and the dc's Wink

well, she is, not on purpose though, i think she finds the DC a bit tiring Grin
If she knew I was awake, she would have left me to it!
But I am grateful she is here :)

You've got to get help where you can, the fact that you had a lay down will just go to make you mum feel she's helping even more to give you a break, and there's nothing like the warm glow helping someone out gives you Grin
