We're doing the full "wedding" thing on saturday- big white dress, self written vows, loads of guests, etc. However, our venue isn't legally registered, so today we are nipping to the reg office with immediate family.

DP is wearing a suit- a normal day to day one, but he doesn't wear one to work so I suppose that is kind of dressing up. The DDs are wearing nice normal dresses- the kind of thing they wear when we want them to look smarter than normal at nursery.

Will I regret it in the future if I don't dress up?

no not at all :) if you're having the proper wedding on sat then today wear what you want. Just choose your nicest outfit that you feel lovely in.

(it's mathsmadmummy BTW)

good luck! :o

Congratulations - hope your day is lovely!

Not at all. I'd change out of the PJ bottoms but no need to make a huge fuss. Unless you are taking photos, in which case you may regret not making a bit of an effort.
Congrats btw Smile

There will probably be photos, but only because FIL is obsessed with taking photos Hmm- he has much worse pictures of me!

just put on a dress or trouser suit, nothing special just something to make you look and feel special, like your dp and dd's are.

Congratulations..... When i got married we had all the legal stuff in the registra office, with close family, then a blessing later with the white dress and all the works.

The blessing with all my friends and family felt more real than the registra office.

Go have some fun today, but enjoy saturday more.

It will be a blast :0

Hulababy · 26/08/2010 09:06

Congratulations and have a lovely day.

OK, I've chosen. Purple maxi dress and a black pashmina thing. Brill.

Right, see you all when I'm a married lady :D

(legally, at least...)

:D
