I think that you lot are really uncaring and ignorant. I have read a thread where nearly all the mums have maybe a young girl feel unwanted and then went on to bitch about it.

I hope that your children become young parents so you know how it feels because you have some sort of problem with it. I think that use need to get a life and think about others. why not have a young parent section?

If it would help a lot of young parents relate to each other.

I think you all need to have a good look in the mirror.

OH by the way I love NETMUMS and the tickers Smile

I made a WeightWatchers pavlova last week. The meringue resembled loft insulation, probably because the recipe dictates that you use about a third of the sugar that you are supposed to. It was not good.

TheCoalitionNeedsYou · 24/08/2010 16:29

OH - I like big omelette. I use up left over new potatoes by slicing them then frying them with red onion, chorizo and garlic, and then chucking in a couple of eggs.

Is a quiches just an omelette in a case then?

Is this like those breadless sandwhiches that are somehow not a salad?

I love the way we have managed to bring quiche into both of this NM/MN threads Grin

But yes, crustless quiche. Why bother? I made a lovely omlette yesterday, filled with some left over smoked haddock and a dash of cream.

Morloth · 24/08/2010 16:30

I bought low fat cheese once, the key word there is once. Life is too short.

You know that saying: "Nothing tastes as good a thin feels"? It is a lie.

Hullygully · 24/08/2010 16:31

This sort of thing makes me feel so large black and wheeled

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 24/08/2010 16:33

Well, you make quiche filling out of eggs and cream. It is a savoury custard. Do not try to use Birds as a replacement however, for obvious reasons.

I tried the lemon chicken ready meal once. It tasted exactly how i thought soap would taste. What do you do to chicken to make it taste like soap?

Erm, add soap? Grin

cupcakesandbunting · 24/08/2010 16:33

I too love a good omelette. But when pastry is what you are after, it is what you are after. It's like when I want a big box of Maltesers and my interfering concerned mother says "why not have a piece of mango instead?" Yes, because that is exactly what is going to sate the evil sweet tooth I get a certain time of the month Hmm

Mango indeed.

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 24/08/2010 16:35

What, like a porsche Cayenne, hully?

tethersend · 24/08/2010 16:41

Hully!

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 24/08/2010 16:43

At times like those cupcakes, I turn to the sauvignon blanc.
then get drunk and eat a pound of cheddar
I am allowed dry white wine, you see.

tethersend · 24/08/2010 16:43

Where O where have you been?

Never mind. It doesn't matter. All that matters is that you're here.

You may never leave, ever, ever again. The world has been a colder place without your presence.

cupcakesandbunting · 24/08/2010 16:45

What diet are you on that allows white wine? tell me, damn it!

SparkleRainbow · 24/08/2010 16:45

I love this place.....(cos I am ignorant newcomer...what is a troll?)

Poledra · 24/08/2010 16:50

Or p'raps a wheely bin, Hully?

happilyeverafter · 24/08/2010 16:54

This thread is one of the funniest I have read on MN.

Hullygully · 24/08/2010 16:56

Licks tether's face and realised as inhabited wrong and furry body. Withdraws hastily after a quick and lascivious sniff

CatPower · 24/08/2010 16:57

This thread has had me howling with laughter, making DS look at me like I've grown another head. Thank you, NM hunbiscuit for the "lolololols". Biscuit

SparkleRainbow · 24/08/2010 17:01

My ds is coming in and looking at my very strangely too.....but that could be because he wants to play club penguin and I won't let him on cos I am too busy reading what you guys are saying (guilty emotion needed0

PacificDogwood · 24/08/2010 17:01

How has eaten ALL the Minstrels, eh??

And why on earth are you discussing savoury custard and soapy chicken??

Had to come back for cheering up as I just found out my dad is in hospital Sad. In another country, gah! Poor mum.

MrsRhettButler · 24/08/2010 17:04

(((((((((hugs)))))))))))) for pacific :(

i came back out of boredom also.... its been fun

SparkleRainbow · 24/08/2010 17:05

I am opening the wine as soon as 7.30 rolls around, shall I pour one for you?

Morloth · 24/08/2010 17:07

I wanted a nice crisp Chardonnay last night. DH refused to go and buy me one. It was only 9:30pm, he had been home from work for an hour - I was pretty miffed.

Mommy2BubbanHun · 24/08/2010 17:07

Want to send you hugs, Pacific. This new name makes me sound insincere though, doesn't it?

I hope your dad is ok.
