It's funny how many on here make crass assumptions about ALL social workers, based on biased media reporting of birth family engagements with a few social workers.
It is funny how many people think social workers have the time and energy to just make this stuff up, when so many children out there genuinely need their help.
It is funny how no one takes into account these social workers were acting on what was in front of them, and what medical advisors were telling them. It is funny that child had a broken leg, no sign of osteoporosis and his parents didn't know how it happened. Not a three year old but a three month old.
It stops being funny when social workers and family courts intervene, and free the child you eventually adopt from the people who tortured and abuse him, so that you can pick up the pieces and parent the scared and traumatized toddler, and try and rebuild his life, whilst parenting forums make you and the SWs out to be child snatchers-and the family courts who gave the birth family opportunity after opportunity and provision for support, that family court is slap dash and lackadaisical, when the adoption order judge is the same judge who oversaw most of the child protection hearings of your son, awards him a teddy bear with a tear in his eye and wishes him well- that would be when all of this stops being funny.
